Renovation projects are always easier when priorities are clearly defined upfront.
The traditional crimped edge gives a Cornish Pasty its unmistakable look.
I always wondered why some Oceanside realtors talk so much about the harbor area versus downtown. After reading this it makes sense. The north end has its own feel with the boats and the beach and easy access to the base.
I agree that choosing durable materials is just as important as picking stylish finishes, especially for high-traffic areas.
We did a tub to shower conversion last year and the glass was definitely the last thing installed. Our remodeler had the glass company measure right after the tile was grouted, just like this describes.
It’s interesting how much regional tradition matters when talking about an authentic Cornish Pasty.
Does anyone know if the Thursday Sunset Market runs all year or just in the warmer months? We are thinking about a condo downtown and the market is honestly one of the reasons. Curious how loud it gets on those evenings.

The point about measuring at several heights makes a lot of sense. Our house in west Mesa was built in the late seventies and I am pretty sure none of the bathroom walls are straight anymore
I used to think play-based meant no structure at all. After seeing how much planning goes into it, I get it now. My son is learning so much without realising it.
I had no idea laser hair removal was considered long-term reduction rather than something that lasts forever. That explains why my sister still goes back for a touch-up session every now and then. Good to know before I sign up for a package myself.
The discussion about lighting layers was especially interesting and practical.
A warm Cornish Pasty is the definition of comfort food for me.
I think the advice to visit downtown at night is underrated. Plenty of places feel totally different after dark, especially near restaurants and bars. We did that before buying and it confirmed we wanted to be a few blocks away.
Excursions to the museum every week sound amazing. My kids would be in heaven. The dinosaur gallery alone could keep them talking for a month. I would happily go along as a parent helper.
