Многих молодых родителей волнует вопрос, с какого возраста приучать ребёнка к церковной службе. Когда и сколько он должен пребывать в храме, какие молитвы учить? Иногда на многолюдной праздничной службе приходится слышать: «Зачем детей-то мучить, все равно они ничего не понимают. Вот подрастут, тогда…».
Но когда дети подрастут, у них возникнет масса важных дел: школьные уроки, шахматные турниры или отдых, наконец, все же воскресение – один единственный выходной у школьников. Чтобы все эти «важные» дела не отвлекли от самого главного в жизни, нужно приучать ребенка к храму с пеленок, а лучше еще до рождения.
К одному старцу пришла за советом женщина: «Отче, два месяца назад у меня родился сын, с какого времени я должна его воспитывать?». Старец ответил: «Ты, мать, опоздала на одиннадцать месяцев». То же можно сказать и о церковной службе. Лучший вариант, когда мама задолго до рождения дитяти посещает храм, причащается, потому что из Евангелия знаем: «Когда Елисавета услышала приветствие Марии, взыграл младенец во чреве ее … » (Лк 1, 41). Думается, что так же радуются младенцы в утробах матерей своих, когда те причащаются.
Храм – лучшее место для воспитания детей. Святитель Иоанн Златоуст говорит: «Как мягкий воск легко принимает черты, на нем напечатлеваемые; так и дети принимают впечатления без особых усилий». Церковное пение и сияющие облачения священников, лики святых и резные киоты, бряцание кадила и запах ладана, соборная молитва – все это останется в памяти детей на всю жизнь. Когда дети участвуют в годовом круге богослужений, они ощущают себя частью Церкви Христовой: радуются рождению Христа, плачут в Великую Пятницу: «Мама, зачем нашего Господа убили?». Торжествуют на Пасху, когда все становятся как дети и на возглашение священства «Христос Воскресе!!!» можно на весь храм кричать: «Воистину Воскресе!!!» – и никто не сделает замечание, что слишком громко. Все это золотой запас чистых детских впечатлений и переживаний, который не даст растратить душевные силы на протяжении всей жизни.
Детям, и не только им, легче на службе, когда они могут в ней участвовать. Все ребятишки очень любят петь. Двухлетние малыши с удовольствием поют «Отче наш», «Богородице Дево, радуйся …», Символ веры, «Воскресение Христово видевши…». С детьми постарше нужно учить тропари и величания праздников. Есть очень хорошие диски «Школа церковного пения», на них хорошо слышны слова и глас не перепутаешь. Книги «Детям о Божественной литургии», «Всенощное бдение», очень красочные, в доступной форме раскроют смысл и красоту богослужения. Не беспокойтесь, что ребенок не поймет. Нам, взрослым, надо только не лениться, объяснять и вместе изучать. Недаром в Писании сказано: «утаил сие от мудрых и разумных и открыл то младенцам» (Мф 11, 25).
Очень жалко ребятишек, которых принесут к самому Причастию, пройдут с ними от притвора до амвона и обратно – вот и все богослужение. Ребенок даже понять не успевает, что же с ним произошло. Маленькие ребятишки очень любят разглядывать росписи на стенах храма, расспрашивать: «А это кто?», «А это что?». Можно потихоньку, на ушко, рассказать. В следующий раз услышите: «Мам, пойдем к святому Трифону, у него птичка». «Пойдем к святому Пантелеимону, у него львы добрые-предобрые». «Купите мне, пожалуйста, огненный меч, как у Архангела Михаила».
Есть и такое мнение, что дети мешают воцерковлению родителей. На богослужении отвлекаешься, половину не видишь, не слышишь. Да, тяжело. Порой просто стыдно за поведение любимых чадушек. Но как по-другому вырастить церковного человека? Мне кажется, что это и есть материнский крест, который нужно нести, и неотступно посещать богослужения вместе с детьми, исполняя евангельские строки «Пустите детей и не препятствуйте им приходить ко Мне, ибо таковых есть Царство Небесное» (Мф 19, 14).

You could look at Yahoo’s front page and see how they write post headlines to get people to click.
